Due to it being summer break for schools, we have a lot of part-timers joining our full-time morning crew. I wish I could say this made things easier but unfortunately, very few of them are competent and it's frustrating me. SO. MUCH.

And for some reason today, I'm just in an extremely pissy mood.

And as a bonus, apparently we're no longer using our wireless sytem for DT. Thanks a fucking lot management. Apparently it "failed" in terms of it's usefulness. Tell that to the people who are happy when one of us comes outside to take their orders or even that one lady who praised and praised it the entire time I took her order.

Fuck, I need a new job. :|

Final lab grade... in above the class average at a B+. I'll take that. =)

Now to hope that I passed the lecture... oh please, please, please.

Saturday July 5th looks like it's going to be thunder storms all day.. So I'm gonna have to cancel that one.
July 26th's is still on, and there is a hot tub meet afterwards too!

Final lab report... finished. What a pain in the ass... It's way, way harder when the experiment -doesn't- work. x.x

First time posting to this I believe, hope I get it right and that you guys like the result =)  I'm not much of a 'cook' but I love to do baking, usualy cakes and cookies and here is an example of my creativity.

Yeah it's early but I wanted to do some baked goods for the event and figured better early than never. And the inspiration struck so I went with it.



This gets long so I've included the story in a cut. And yes I should have taken pictures during it and I wanted to but my hands were messy and covered in food coloring half the time.

Organic Chem II finals, lecture and lab, both over with. I hope I passed the lecture portion... I really need that. =/ The lab should be fine, even with the difficult final. The difficult final with the impossible IR/NMR problem... The TA realized it when there were only three of us left, struggling with it still... That one of the doublets was supposed to be a triplet. Which is good, because it's damn hard to make a benzene ring have three doublets and one triplet. So she's throwing that question out.

Just have the lab to finish and turn in... I'll do that tonight.

In other news, just to put on a grand finale at the end of the exams, the Pittsburgh skies decided to pour rain. Worst... bike ride.. ever. x.x

Well, this AC wasn't the best in the world, for me. But it was pretty okay. I saw a lot of people there, at least... Forgive me if I don't start listing everyone, because the list'd be huge-mongous, but you know if you saw me. =)

Wednesday started off with an impromptu run to Sam's and Wally-World for supplies for the Cub Hub parties, since other in-chargees weren't quite planning things out to the best of their abilities. Not a big deal, outside of needing that time to study for my Organic Chem course. It didn't help matters that my car was (and still is) out of commission from the blown pressure plate.

Thursday and into early Friday, as far as I'm concerned, was one giant cluster-fuck. I'll leave it at that.

Most of the rest of my time at the con was spent itching, soaking in bathtubs, and seeing what people I could.

... y'know what, I'll post more later. The final I just took for my organic chem lecture course has me a little disgruntled, and the final I'm about to take for the lab will do more of the same, annnnnnd I'm itching like crazy. Kill me. x.x More later. There's always room for strip-Hex Hex.

Q. So, what will you be doing with all your time over the 7-10 days FA is scheduled to be down?

A. Making so much artz that when it comes back up, it will collapse under the weight of my uploads! Muhahahahahaaa! :)

had a great time at AC this year! got to see a bunch of friends but as usual, didnt get to suit as much as i wanted to but it happens. sorry for the people ive missed, its always hectic running around to see everyone you can with the limited time available.

if anyone managed to get pics of me when i suited, ill be impressed, please show me! I did stay pretty hidden most of the con hehe.

I'm conducting a little bit of research and needs some help.

I need ghost stories. Specifically, I need animal ghost stories--people who've seen the spirits of animals. I've read a lot of ghost stories in my life, but only a very small handful have involved animals of any stripe, and now I'm trying to collect a few that do.

So what do I need? I need your stories! If you've had a supernatural experience involving an animal, please comment and lemme know about it. If you're embarrassed (and I can understand that), feel free to leave an anonymous comment.

Anecdotal and second hand stories are fine (this happened to my brother's wife's cousin's daughter's hairdresser's nephew's plumber...) but please nothing from a book or published account. I want it to be something that happened to someone you know, not random stranger number seventy-one.

on another note: the TG support group was meeting tonight downtown, I told myself I was going to go there no matter what....well..I just didn't feel like it. :/ and I didnt really get much out of it previous times. but maybe I'm just rationalizing.

It's kinda funny in a way because my job is not just dealing with people but understanding and relating to them on a variety of levels in different environments. But theres a clue there, as unstructured and chaotic as it seems from the outside, theres structure..scripts, I know what to expect, no real surprises.

Put me in the outside world...and thats full of surprises, unexpected unscripted interaction, what will the stranger say and do next, am I accepted or not.

A support group should be structured enough I would think, but theres something else there, comfort, I guess because the people change so often, and their strangers to me. If this was like a close group of friends then I'd feel more at ease. But you have to spend time around someone to build that understanding and connection.
Thats whats hard for me. Some people I automaticly feel good about, and a lot of people I can understand after being around them for a bit.

But confidence and comfort level are hard for me.
